Divers base themselves on Panglao Island, 20-30 minutes by boat from Balicasag Island, known for a resident school of jacks, many turtles and vertical walls. Conditions are mild and suit new divers.

概覽Overview

Balicasag 是平頂小島，大部分範圍屬海洋保護區，禁止捕魚，魚群不太怕人。Pamilacan 過去是捕捉鯨鯊、蝠鱝與海豚的漁村，禁捕後村民轉營觀豚與潛水。陸上有朱古力山與眼鏡猴。

約 12 月至 5 月為旱季，海面平靜、雨少、能見度好；3 至 5 月水溫最高，海面最平。6 至 9 月進入西南季風與颱風季，薄荷島位於群島中間，常有其他島嶼遮擋，大部分日子仍可潛水，但颱風經過時會停船。

Balicasag is a small flat island; most of the surrounding water is a no-fishing marine reserve, so the fish are not shy. Pamilacan was once a village that hunted whale sharks, mantas and dolphins; after the bans, villagers turned to dolphin watching and diving. On land are the Chocolate Hills and tarsiers.

The dry season runs roughly December to May, with calm sea, little rain and good visibility; March to May has the warmest water and calmest sea. June to September brings the southwest monsoon and typhoons, but Bohol sits in the middle of the islands and is often sheltered, so most days are diveable; boats stop when a typhoon passes.

潛水概況The diving

以船潛為主，初級至中級。礁牆一般流小，但 Cabilao 與部分礁角有時有流，需依導潛指示進行放流潛水。Panglao 岸邊礁牆船程只需數分鐘，適合第一天試水與夜潛。持開放水域潛水員證即可，但礁牆深度容易超過 18 米，持有進階證照較方便。

Mostly boat diving, beginner to intermediate. Walls usually have little current, though Cabilao and some reef corners can run, and guides then lead drift dives. The Panglao house walls are a few minutes away by boat and good for a first check dive and night dives. Open Water is enough, but wall depths easily pass 18 m, so Advanced certification helps.

交通Getting there

由香港飛宿霧約兩個半小時，再由宿霧碼頭乘快船約兩小時到首府 Tagbilaran，然後乘車到 Panglao；也可經馬尼拉轉內陸機直飛 Panglao 島的機場。住 Alona Beach 一帶最方便。

Fly Hong Kong to Cebu (about 2.5 hours), take the fast ferry to Tagbilaran (about 2 hours), then drive to Panglao. Or fly via Manila to the airport on Panglao. Alona Beach is the most convenient base.

實用提示Tips

  1. Balicasag 熱門潛點早上船多，可選早班或人少的時段。
  2. 不要追逐或觸摸海龜；Balicasag 與其他保護區需繳入場費，用於巡守員。
  3. Cabilao 與部分礁角有流，跟隨導潛放流。
  4. 菲律賓旅遊部 2023 年指 Panglao 有一座運作中的加壓艙。
  5. 最後一潛後須等待 18 至 24 小時才搭機。
  1. Balicasag is busy with boats in the morning; ask for an early or quieter slot.
  2. Do not chase or touch turtles. Balicasag and other reserves charge an entry fee that pays for rangers.
  3. Cabilao and some reef corners have current; follow your guide on drift dives.
  4. The Department of Tourism said in 2023 that Panglao has a working recompression chamber.
  5. Wait 18-24 hours after your last dive before flying.
