與那國島是日本最西端的島嶼，距台灣約 111 公里，黑潮正面流經。冬季扇貝錘頭鯊群出現在島西面的西崎，南面另有俗稱「海底遺跡」的巨石地形。Yonaguni is Japan's westernmost island, about 111 km from Taiwan, in the direct path of the Kuroshio current. In winter, schools of scalloped hammerhead sharks gather off Irizaki at the west end; off the south coast lies a block-like rock formation known as the Yonaguni Monument.

概覽Overview

海底遺跡位於島南面新川鼻對開，1986 年由當地潛水員發現，是一大片狀似階梯、平台與直角牆的巨石，底部約 20 米。人造或天然至今沒有定論，主流地質學家認為是砂岩沿天然裂紋崩落形成。

主季為 1 至 3 月，12、4、5 月亦可前往。錘頭鯊約 12 月開始出現，1 月底幾乎每天可見，一群可超過百條；同一時段正值東北季風最強，一星期可能只出海幾天，需多預留後備日。

The Monument lies off Arakawabana on the south coast and was found by a local diver in 1986: a large area of rock shaped like steps, terraces and right-angled walls, with its base at about 20 m. Whether it is man-made or natural is still debated; mainstream geologists consider it sandstone that broke away along natural joints.

The main season is January to March, with December, April and May also workable. Hammerheads start to appear around December, are seen almost daily from late January, and schools can exceed a hundred. The same months bring the strongest northeast monsoon, and boats may only get out a few days a week, so build in spare days.

潛水概況The diving

以船潛為主，程度要求高。西崎在開放水域落水，於藍水中層隨流漂移、等待鯊群在能見度邊緣經過，常需下到 20 至 30 米，沒有參照物也沒有海底，屬進階的放流潛水。海底遺跡屬中級；島南與島東的潛點有珊瑚與拱門，是風向不合時的後備。潛店一般要求進階開放水域潛水員或同等經驗。

Boat diving with high experience demands. At Irizaki divers enter open water and drift in mid-water blue, watching for sharks at the edge of visibility, often at 20-30 m with no bottom or reference; this is an advanced drift dive. The Monument is intermediate. South and east coast sites have coral and arches and serve as backups when the wind is wrong. Shops usually require Advanced Open Water or equivalent experience.

交通Getting there

由香港先飛那霸或石垣，再轉琉球空中通勤（RAC）小型客機：石垣到與那國約 30 分鐘，每日數班；那霸約 1 小時 20 分。小型客機行李額小，潛水裝備需預先計算重量。石垣另有渡輪每週兩班、航程約四小時，冬季常停航（截至 2026-10）。

Fly from Hong Kong to Naha or Ishigaki, then take a small Ryukyu Air Commuter (RAC) plane: about 30 minutes from Ishigaki with several flights a day, or about 1 hour 20 minutes from Naha. Baggage allowances are small, so check the weight of your dive gear. A ferry from Ishigaki runs twice a week in about four hours and is often cancelled in winter (as of October 2026).

實用提示Tips

  1. 西崎是黑潮主流經過的地方，失散會被帶走很遠；必須懂得在水中放 SMB，並攜帶聲響或訊號器。
  2. 跟緊導潛，不要自行追逐鯊群。
  3. 錘頭鯊季潛店名額有限，宜提早數月預訂。
  4. 島上沒有治療設施，出事需飛往石垣或沖繩本島；先吸純氧，由醫療人員決定運送方式。
  5. 離島需乘小型客機，最後一潛與登機之間要預留足夠時間。
  1. Irizaki sits in the main Kuroshio flow; a separated diver can drift far. Know how to deploy an SMB underwater and carry an audible signal or locator.
  2. Stay with your guide and do not chase the sharks on your own.
  3. Shop places are limited in hammerhead season; book months ahead.
  4. There is no treatment facility on the island; emergencies are flown to Ishigaki or the main island. Give oxygen first and let medical staff decide on transport.
  5. Leaving means a small-plane flight; allow enough time between your last dive and boarding.
